I have a limited number of old spec vibratos that I'm releasing into the wild. Once I had everything ready to go for the current V4 spec, I made the switch, thinking when things got slow in the summer, I could always sell these older units at a discount. But things did NOT get slow this summer and I have the opposite reason for selling these now. I'm out of stock of the V4 spec for at least a few weeks so I'm making these 2024 spec units available now. The only functional difference between the 2024 and the V4 spec is that because the V4 uses a button head screw to mount the fulcrum plate, you have the third option of using zero drop plates, essentially maintaining the vintage break angle of the original Jazzmaster vibrato. So, if you are attracted to the Descendant design because you want a steeper angle behind the bridge, then consider this as a valid option to the V4.
